Laser Genesis works by gently heating the upper dermis well below the skin’s surface, stimulating collagen regrowth and reducing redness. Diffuse redness is the general appearance of facial redness, such as rosy cheeks, and is caused by dilated capillaries rather than well-defined vessels. It is often associated with rosacea, and can be hereditary.

Laser Skin Rejuvenation Treatment

Laser Genesis takes less than one hour to perform. Patients often describe the treatment as relaxing and therapeutic, making it one of our most popular laser procedures. The sensation is best described as a gentle warming of the skin’s surface as the laser handpiece is moved back and forth about 2cm (3/4 inch) above the skin. Although most patients report few if any side effects, the most common is slight redness that disappears within a few hours of treatment. There is no recovery time associated with Laser Genesis, with patients returning to their normal activities immediately after.

Individual results vary, however an average of six treatments spaced approximately two to four weeks apart is recommended, in order to achieve optimal results.
